Bichon Frisé of French origin, meaning curly lap dog), a small breed of dog of the Bichon type. They are popular pets, similar in appearance to but larger than the Maltese. The Bichon Frise is a member of the Non-Sporting Group.

The American Kennel Club simply says that the  Bichon Frise as “merry” and “cheerful”^] and the breed standard calls for a dog that is “gentle mannered, sensitive, playful and affectionate”. The Bichon Frise adores the presence people they are known to demand a great delay of your attention. They tend to be a very sociable. They can be charming, affectionate, and intelligent. Bichons mix well with Kids as  they are playful and have lots of energy. Bichon Frises are very obedient if training is started early and continued constantly.
